The artist your pet would choose
In seventh grade, Mary-Jo preferred Saturday, oil painting classes to playing with friends. Soon she was winning ribbons at County Fairs in her home state of Connecticut.
Being an idealistic and practical person from a family of modest means, she made the decision to pursue a career in nursing. Her creative longings remained unsatisfied.
In her mid-twenties, while working full-time, she attended The Academy of Art in San Francisco, focusing on painting, illustrating, printmaking.
“Any angst I have finds an outlet in my writing. My art reflects only what I find beautiful and joyful.”
Born in the Chinese Year of the Dog,
Mary-Jo has an affinity for images of whimsical furry creatures and the children who love them.
